Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2004, employment law and HR support have been Elizabeth Chuk’s main areas of practice.
Elizabeth has substantial experience in all areas of employment law, especially:
- Drafting/reviewing policies and procedures
- Settlement agreements
- Judicial and workplace mediation
- Disciplinary hearings
- Early conciliation in employment tribunal litigation
Elizabeth has proven experience in representing both employees and employers. Her experience includes working with a firm with legal 500 listings in many of its practice areas. One of Elizabeth’s employment tribunal cases was reported and provided sound authority in legal proceedings.
With extensive experience as a team manager, Elizabeth has been drawn to concentrate on employee relations issues, work-place support and settlement agreements – key areas in situations where workplace issues have broken down.
Elizabeth aims to understand the complex workplace environment and deliver a solution that heads off an employment tribunal claim. For her, this area is extremely rewarding. She believes early support, even at the review-of-policy stage, could impact greatly on the quantity and success of prospective litigation.
