Chucks is a senior Solicitor with over 20 years’ of experience in Data Protection. She has expertise working in the Public, Private and Third sectors where she has been the sole Legal Adviser for multi-departmental organisations and businesses. With a commercially sensitive practice, she has led projects for data protection implementation programmes, training on data protection governance and supporting organisations to navigate their business through occurrences of breaches to satisfy compliance standards with the regulator and engender client satisfaction.
Chucks has worked with award-winning law firms where clients have commended her support from the Board Room to operational activities. Chucks is also enthusiastic to ensure that clients are kept abreast of new data protection legislation relevant to their business and ways that the business can be supported as statutory implementation is rolled out.

Data Protection Training – managed data protection training throughout the organisation from the leadership team to senior managers supporting and building knowledge and know-how that practically implemented data protection governance standards and procedures for businesses with numerous employees.
Data Protection Officer – Managed all data protection enquiries for the business including advising on Data Protection Implement Assessments, reviewing documents for subject access requests (SARs) submissions to data subjects (requesters), training on data breach procedures and supporting the management of data breach risk management audits. Data Protection: Policies and Procedures – reviewed and drafted data policy documents so they are user-friendly and reflect data protection standards to ensure the business is aware and reflects statutory needs. Completing appropriate data mapping projects that highlight personal data repositories processed, managed and retained in the business. Assisting the business to create an Information Asset Register that will enable the business to manage appliable data in a timely fashion.
Data Protection Implementation Assessments (DPIAs) – Reviewing, assessing, analysing DPIAs to ensure that the need for the DPIA is frontload in the business process to prevent delay. Supporting the business to complete and create a review system so that all DPIAs in the business are reviewed, closed and/or retained reflecting business need.
