Craig joined Richard Nelson LLP in April 2021. Prior to joining he had been a Managing Director of JWK Legal Group Limited until its acquisition by national law firm, Simpson Millar LLP. He was a Partner of Simpson Millar LLP and became national chair of the Dispute Resolution and Employment departments of that firm.
Craig has a wide experience of acting for individuals, partnerships and corporate entities be they an SME or PLC. The advice covered both contentious and non-contentious matters for clients in the entertainment, music and sports industries involving at times international household names and dealt with various commercial, litigation and employment matters. He has taken matters to the Court of Appeal and to the Employment Appeals Tribunal and became nationally renowned for his work on Protective Award cases, having headed up teams dealing with such names as BHS, Monarch Airlines and Holidays, Multi-York, Flybmi and Jamie Oliver restaurants.
As well as litigation matters, Craig will assist with all non-contentious commercial matters such as sales and agency agreements, franchise and distribution agreements, terms and conditions, non-disclosure and IP agreements, joint venture agreements and partnership or shareholder agreements. Likewise in employment matters he is able to assist in relation to settlement agreements, policies and procedures, executive service agreements and restrictive covenant matters.
Craig appreciates the need for commercial reality when dealing with legal matters and that it is by working as a team with the client and others that the objectives of the client are more easily achieved.
