The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) is currently seeking views in three separate consultations.

Those consultations relate to:

  • the circumstances in which it might be appropriate to dispose of a complaint without the need to hold a hearing;
  • the length of time that the GOsC should continue to publish details about an osteopath’s fitness to practise history, including information about conditions and suspensions imposed by the Professional Conduct Committee; and
  • new detailed draft guidance on the requirements for obtaining consent, which is intended to supplement the information currently set out in the
    Osteopathic Practice Standards

Those wishing to view the consultation documents can do so on the GOsC web site at www.osteopathy.org.uk/about/our-work/consultations-events/
