Karen Seed
Consultant Solicitor
Karen qualified as a Solicitor in 2007, having practised as a paralegal and completed her training contract in Oldham. Since 2009 Karen has worked in East Lancashire both as a Solicitor and a Partner. She has been a self-employed Consultant Solicitor since October 2018.
Karen pursued a career in Law because she wanted to be able to help people in times of need and make a difference. Family life is extremely important to Karen, which is why life as a Consultant Solicitor suits her, as she is able to strike the balance between work and family life. It gives her the flexibility to spend time with her loved ones, do the things she enjoys and allows her caring personality and legal skills shine through to make a difference to people when they need it most. She understands that life is busy, and our own affairs are often put on one side, which is why she offers a flexible approach to accommodate those with busy schedules who may not be able to get to appointments during normal office hours. She prides herself on the personal touch and attention to detail.
Karen recognises that when it comes to needing the services of a Solicitor this is often a daunting and overwhelming step to have to take. This is why she offers friendly, empathetic, straight forward legal advice without legal jargon. Being neurodivergent herself, Karen is passionate about making the law accessible to everyone and aims to take the stress away from life’s stressful events by making the most complex legal matters easily accessible. Karen believes that you need an approachable, empathetic expert who is very much on your side. Karen recognises that seeing a Solicitor in an office environment is often daunting for many people and enjoys seeing clients at a place they feel comfortable, such as their home or in the local community.
