Sara Mayhew trained with a major Scottish law firm, Maclay Muarray and Spens, in London before leaving to take up a global in-house role for the world’s largest publicly traded oil services company, Schlumberger, where, for six years, she managed the legal aspects of its fleet of specialist marine research vessels before leaving to establish her own employment law consultancy in the UK.

Sara is a highly regarded employment law specialist with more than 10 years’ experience advising clients on HR and employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious and regularly advises on:
– disciplinary and grievance matters;
– termination of employment;
– whistleblowing;
– wages claims;
– settlement;
– share purchase/sales agreements, including due diligence;
– restructuring, including redundancy advice, and
– TUPE and consultation.

Her practice includes providing legal health checks & training, drafting employment contracts and policies (including restrictive covenants), consultancy agreements and employment policies, and also covers employment tribunal and litigation claims/responses, including unfair dismissal, disability discrimination, breach of contract, race discrimination and whistleblowing.
