Emma qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and has spent her entire career focusing on employment law and HR practice. She has worked both in-house, in private practice and HR operations. Emma accepts instructions from both employers and employees where there is no conflict of interest.
When advising employers in relation to HR strategy and employment relations matters, Emma takes a pragmatic approach. She is experienced in conducting and advising on HR processes and procedures involving disciplinary, grievance, capability and redundancy.
Having worked across a wide range of industry sectors as diverse as catering, retail, the arts, security services and the third sector, Emma is highly adaptable.
She has developed niche experience within the education sector and has worked within the HR departments of unionised (green and burgundy book) workforces. She accepts instructions from Academy Trusts and independent schools in relation to employment law and HR matters.
Emma can offer bespoke ongoing HR and employment law support to employers on a retainer basis. Alternatively, she can provide services on a fixed fee or hourly rate basis. She is always keen to discuss your specific HR/employment law needs.
