Tony Pearce is a very experienced dispute resolution solicitor. Before he became a lawyer, he was a member of the Armed Forces, a diver and a sales executive. He has experience of most types of private, commercial and civil disputes.

His aim in any dispute is to enable the client to achieve the best possible result and this often draws on his previous experiences. For the past 15 years, Tony has specialised in seeking to resolve disputes involving disputed wills, trusts, estates and property disputes. In particular, financial abuse and fraud involving the elderly and infirm and their families. He has acted for trustees, executors and administrators when disputes arise and problems result.

Tony is a full member of ACTAPS (the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists) and an affiliate member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).

He was formerly on the committee of the International Association of Maritime Security Professionals and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Diving diseases research and treatment charity DDRC Ltd, which is a leading charity with an international reputation. He was recently appointed to the Trust Law Committee of the Auckland District Law Society for a two-year term.

Tony was a former Deputy District Judge and in 1994 qualified for admission as a solicitor and barrister in the High Court of New Zealand. Tony is also a contributor to Law Skills where he regularly discusses topics surrounding contentious probate.
