Mark was called to the Bar as a barrister in 1997 and obtained dual qualification as a solicitor in 2001 after joining Cartwright King Solicitors’ fraud team. He spent over 15 years ranked in the Legal 500 as a top fraud lawyer but also covered many high profile and complex regulatory cases, as well as conducting advocacy on numerous general crime matters. This has given him and an impressive ‘all round’ knowledge and experience base.
Mark was a partner at Cartwright King leading the fraud, regulatory and crime teams nationally, culminating in becoming Regional Managing Director in 2017.
Having joined Richard Nelson in 2020, Mark is a highly-successful and leading authority in resolving issues relating to DBS law, including responding to ‘Minded to Bar’ letters and DBS appeals. He is also one of the few solicitors in the country who specialises in applications to remove police cautions, helping those facing professional, career or travel difficulties from old or minor brushes with the law, to return to a clean record.
