Rita qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and has over 17 years’ experience in Immigration and Criminal work. Prior to joining she was the Head of Department at Cartwright King Solicitors and a criminal duty solicitor.
Rita has been ranked in the Legal 500 as Exceptional and named as a Rising star. She offers bespoke advice in all aspects of Corporate and Personal immigration work, dealing with a variety of applications ranging from Sponsorship licences and appealing civil penalties for illegal working. Rita has vast knowledge of Entry clearance applications, Spousal applications, Points based applications, Settlement applications and Human Rights applications. With expertise she has taken cases to the appeal process securing successful outcomes on Judicial review applications, First Tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal appeals and also Deportation appeals.
She has represented clients nationally and internationally from and array of different backgrounds, from high profile musicians to asylum seekers. For many years she has reunited children with families, partners and loved ones and secured status for victims of domestic violence – both male and female. Rita deals with complicated immigration matters, challenging Home Office decisions taking each case on its own merits, advising, representing and navigating the case through the complex immigration policies.
Rita is a committee member of MALA (Midland Asian Lawyers Association) Headquartered in Leicester and operating throughout the Midlands. This is a non-profit organisation promoting diversity and equality in the legal profession raising money for charity. She enjoys skiing with her family and friends and practices yoga to promote mental and physical well-being.
