Sponsorship Licence

Businesses that wish to employ foreign workers or students to come and work or study in the UK must apply for a sponsorship licence.

The sponsorship licence criteria is strict, and licences are only granted to bonafide companies that satisfy the requirements. It is vital that the sponsorship companies are fully aware of the requirements and responsibilities that come along with holding a sponsorship to comply with the onerous sponsorship duties.

Skilled Worker Visa

Individuals who wish to come and work in the UK can apply for a skilled worker visa. This visa allows one to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with an approved employer.

This visa has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa.

A scale-up worker visa allows individuals to come to the UK to do an eligible job for a fast-growing UK business (sometimes called a ‘scale-up business’).

Global Business Mobility Visa

This visa allows overseas workers who are assigned to a UK business linked to the employer overseas. It is for senior managers and specialist employees to be required to commence a temporary work assignment in the UK.

The global business mobility visa replaced the inter-company transfer visa that closed on 11 April 2022.

Health And Care Worker Visa

To support the UK Health sector, this visa was designed to encourage healthcare professionals from around the world to come and work in the UK.

This health and care worker visa is available to qualified doctors, nurses and other health and adult social care professionals who wish to undertake an eligible job with the NHS, an NHS supplier or in adult social care.

International Sportsperson Visa

The international sportsperson visa allows an elite sportsperson and qualified coach who are internationally recognised in their field and the employment will develop your sport in the UK at the highest level.

This visa replaced the sportsperson (T2) visa and the sporting part of the temporary worker – creative and sporting visa (T5).

Minister Of Religion Visa

The minister of religion visa (T2) is available for overseas workers who have been offered employment within a faith community, that is, including a role as a minister of religion, missionary, or member of a religious order in the UK.

Graduate Visa

The graduate visa grants permission for overseas students who have completed an eligible UK degree to stay in the UK for at least 2 years. This visa allows the applicants to work, or look for work, for two years (three years for those being awarded doctorates) after they have completed their studies. The visa is applied for in the UK.

High Potential Individual Visa (HPI)

The high potential individual visa grants permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years and is available to recent graduates of top global universities who wish to work, or look for work, in the UK.

Global Business Mobility – Graduate Trainee Visa

The graduate trainee visa allows overseas workers to come to or stay in the UK to work for their employer as part of a graduate training programme for a managerial or specialist role in their UK branch.

This visa has replaced the intra-company graduate trainee visa, previously a Tier 2 (intra-company transfer) graduate trainee visa which is closed to new applicants.

Youth Mobility Scheme

The youth mobility scheme is for young adults who have certain types of British nationality or are from certain participating countries and territories.

The applicants will be allowed to work in the UK, other than as professional sports persons or sports coaches.

This visa has replaced the Youth Mobility Scheme visa (T5).

Temporary Work – Creative worker visa

The temporary work – creative worker visa is for overseas applicants who have been offered work in the UK to work in the creative industries, such as an actor, dancer, musician or film crew member.

This visa is for short-term work in the UK for up to 12 months.

Seasonal Worker Visa

The temporary work – seasonal worker visa is for overseas workers who have been offered employment in the UK to undertake seasonal horticulture work or poultry production work with a sponsor who is an approved scheme operator.

There are time frames that these applicants can remain in the UK subject to the work that is undertaken

Charity Worker Visa

The temporary work – charity worker visa is available for overseas applicants who wish to undertake unpaid voluntary work for a charity in the UK for 12 months.

This visa has replaced the temporary worker – charity worker visa (T5).

Religious Worker Visa

The temporary work – religious worker visa is for overseas applicants who wish to work in a religious order or undertake non-pastoral work for a religious order.

Temporary Work – Government Authorised Exchange Visa

The temporary work – government authorised exchange visa allows overseas applicants to come to the UK for a short time for work experience or to undertake training, an Overseas Government Language Programme, research or a fellowship through an approved government authorised exchange scheme.

Investor Visa
