Victoria completed her law degree at the University of Exeter before attending Nottingham Trent University to complete her Bar Vocational Diploma. She joined Richard Nelson LLP in May 2016 as a Senior Legal Assistant.
Victoria has experience working on a wide range of professional disciplinary cases, defending healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses and paramedics, as well as teachers. Victoria’s expertise includes advising and supporting medical, dental and nursing students in fitness to practise investigations at university level. She also works with teachers facing professional conduct investigations and hearings before the TRA.
Victoria has niche expertise in helping pharmacy students appeal against failure in the pre-registration exam.
Victoria specialises in drafting written responses to regulatory investigations, seeking to persuade the regulator that a case does not need to be referred to a hearing. She has an excellent track record in persuading case examiners/investigating committees to dispose of a fitness to practise matter short of a full hearing.
Victoria’s professional disciplinary work was recognised in the Legal 500 2021. Her “exceptionally detailed witness statements and remediation bundles” were highlighted.
Victoria is a member of Middle Temple, the Nottinghamshire Law Society and the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.
